About the sculpture

This marble statuette of a female figure wearing a classical robe and cloak, with her head covered with a veil and bent slightly to her right. Her right hand is extended, and in her left she holds a sword hilt. She is thought to represent Justice and it seems probable that her extended right hand originally held a balance.
