In 1912 Archipenko’s first solo exhibition was held at the Karl Ernst Osthaus Museum in Hagen, Germany.

Four of Archipenko’s Cubist sculptures, including “Family Life”, and five of his drawings appeared in the controversial Armory Show of 1913. The works were caricatured in the New York World.

Takes part in the Venice Biennale
In 1920 Archipenko took part in the Twelfth Venice Biennale.

The First Russian Art Exhibition in Berlin
In 1922 Archipenko took part in the First Russian Art Exhibition at the Galerie van Diemen in Berlin, together with Aleksandra Exter, Kazimir Malevich, Solomon Nikritin, El Lissitzky and others.

In 1923 Archipenko emigrated to the United States.
