London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This wax model of a male nude is made by an unknown artist in the late 19th century in Florence.
The model relates closely to Michelangelo's unfinished marble Apollo, and was formerly thought to be a study for this and thus ascribed to Michelangelo. However, it is cast, not modelled, and is apparently a preparatory stage in the production of a reduced copy in bronze with alterations of the Apollo.
