May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This bust of a female saint is said to have come from a church in the canton of Ticino, near the Swiss-Italian border. Together with the bust of a male saint (V&A no. A.133-1956) this bust probably formed part of an altarpiece or a large reliquary. Much of the surviving polychromy is original.
