It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This album by the poet and painter Wang Qinyun comprises fifteen scenes of children at play in garden settings. Wang’s delicate brushwork and careful observation capture the spontaneity of children’s games with warmth and quiet humor. While images of boys traditionally conveyed wishes for family prosperity and descendants, Wang’s scenes also celebrate the pleasures of everyday life. Several bear inscriptions by scholars and artists of the Qing dynasty and later years, revealing how albums were revisited, appreciated, and enriched by successive generations of collectors and connoisseurs.
