This sketch model of the torso of a woman is by an unknown artist, made ca. 1575-1600 in Florence.
It was formerly ascribed to Michelangelo, later to Giovanni Bologna, but is clearly by a major Florentine sculptor, the closest analogies are to be found in the work of Vincenzo Danti (b.1530; d.1576).
