Move to Venice, Living in Titian's House
In 1565–1566 Cort lived in Venice in the house of Titian, who immediately recognized his abilities and gave him his finest paintings to reproduce.

Engravings after Paintings by Titian
In Titian's house he created his famous copper engravings: Saint Jerome in the Wilderness, The Penitent Magdalene, Prometheus, Diana and Actaeon, Diana and Callisto, and others. Titian himself made the preparatory drawings for them and valued these prints highly.

Return to Italy: Venice, Bologna, Rome
Having returned from Italy to the Netherlands, Cort left again for Venice shortly after 1567, and from there traveled to Bologna and Rome, where he engraved after the paintings of the great masters of the time.
