Miró made large-scale ceramic murals for Harvard University (1960–1961), the University of St. Gallen (1964), Barcelona airport and the Glass Pavilion at the Osaka World's Fair (both 1970).

Sculptures and ceramics for the Maeght Foundation garden
For the garden of the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, completed in 1964, Miró made a series of sculptures and ceramics; in the 1960s he often showed in the Foundation's salon exhibitions beside Chagall and Giacometti.
