About the work
Tabloul prezintă doi bărbați în peisaj: cel din dreapta cu barbă, văzut frontal, cu mâna stângă în buzunar iar cu cea dreaptă ținând capătul unui toiag. Celălalt capăt al toiagului este ținut de personajul din spate stânga, mai scund, cu mustață, purtând un sac pe umărul stâng. Semnat și datat dreapta jos cu creion: „Hommage admiratif / a / Monsieur A. Simu / Ch. Milcendeau / 1896”.
