Amoghasiddhi is one of the five meditation or "Dhyani" Buddhas which are important in Tibetan Buddhism. In all probability this plaque formed part of a larger ensemble which included the other four from the group. Amogasiddhi is Buddha of the northern direction and is supported by garuda figures with human heads and the bodies of birds, seen here beneath his throne.
