May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
Cupid is represented standing naked, facing to the left with a portion of the handles of a bow in his left hand and the remains of an arrow in his outstretched hand. Behind his right leg there is a tree stump and a quiver. The composition of the figure is similar to 'La Nymphe à la Coquille' which was used in a number of French clocks of the late seventeenth and eighteenth century.
