This bronze statuette representing the young Bacchus and a Faun was made in the middle of the 16th century Italy. Bacchus stands, naked except for an animal's hide which hangs from his shoulders to the ground. His head is bound with a vine wreath and in his hands he squeezes grapes into a circular dish bowl held by the young Faun standing behind him. On a modern marble base.
