In 1743 Chardin is elected a counsellor of the Royal Academy — the first of the offices (then treasurer and secretary) he will hold there in turn.

His daughter Angélique-Françoise
In 1745 a daughter, Angélique-Françoise, is born of his second marriage, but she dies in 1746; Russian Wikipedia says Chardin and Françoise-Marguerite Pouget had no children. The union with Pouget markedly improved the painter's finances.
